With the Got To Dance semi-finals set to kick off on Sunday at 6:00pm, host Davina McCall has told Digital Spy that the semi-finals are packed with drama. "There are a lot of emotional stories... It is important to know sometimes where people come from because it translates into their dance."
In the article, Davina reflects on what an incredible experience the series has proven to be so far.
She says the experience of shooting her unique promo was incredible (check out Davina busting some awesome moves here). ”I just had the best day - it felt like I was in Fame at the age of 42.”
When the show got started, Davina says that there were a few ”hilariously entertaining” acts who never made it past the first audition that she really liked, including the Hot Toe Tappers from Hampshire (check out a gallery of awesome audition pictures here).
She’s unsurprised that the show has turned out to be a hit – both with fans and in the ratings. ”When we were making it, the show felt good,” she said. ”When something feels good, I think it translates onto the telly well.”
