At the Simpsons’ annual dental check-up, Homer struggles to suppress his pain. Lisa gets an education in dental hygiene from a video starring Ludacris as Luda-Crest, a tube of toothpaste with a talent for rapping. The Simpsons stop for ice cream on the way home from the dentist. When Homer purchases the one-millionth ice cream cone, he is featured on Kent Brockman’s nightly news program. The innocent interview goes awry when Brockman uses a shocking expletive. When the citizens of Springfield fail to react, it appears that Brockman has escaped scandal. It isn’t long before the FCC is tipped off by a certain law-abiding citizen. Brockman is fired, leaving the station with a ten-million-dollar fine. The Simpsons take the dejected Brockman in, and he and Lisa begin to devise a scheme for the anchor to make his comeback.
