One day,he uses the glove to make his way to the head of the line at the Kwik-E-Mart. He makes the mistake of slapping the Colonel, a distinguished southern gentleman. The colonel accepts the challenge, and chooses pistols at dawn.

The next morning, the Colonel shows up at the Simpson home. Panicked, Homer begs Marge to save him. She responds by sneaking him out of the house using an old Christmas tree.

When the colonel camps out in front of the house, Homer and the family drive for miles looking for a place to stay. Luckily, Homer happens upon the old abandoned farmhouse where he grew up. He manages to convince the others that they can live on the farm and grow crops.

Homer soon discovers that raising crops is easier said than done. month goes by and none of the seeds takes root. Desperate, he phones the nuclear power plant and convinces Lenny to mail him some plutonium. When the radioactive material arrives, he slices the glowing rod into star-shaped chunks and buries them beneath the ground.

Homer awakens the next morning fully expecting to find large vegetables in his field. So he is greatly disappointed to discover the same barren land. But when Lisa spots a tiny green sprout, Homer ’s spirits soar. Before long,t he entire field is filled with lush plants. Bart samples one of the tomatoes and immediately spits it out.He tells his family that it tastes like cigarette butts. Despite this, he soon develops a craving for more. Homer realizes that the tomatoes are highly addictive. He dubs the plant "tomacco "and sells them from a roadside stand.

Shortly thereafter, executives from Laramie cigarettes offer Homer one hundred and fifty million dollars for his farm. Marge and her children convince Homer to hold out for even more. But when Homer asks for one hundred and fifty billion dollars, the executives leave. Short time later, animals from a neighboring farm begin to devour all of the tomacco plants. Only one plant survives. Lisa urges her father to end the madness by destroying the plant.

Suddenly, addicted animals storm the farmhouse. Laramie cigarette helicopter distracts the animals by dumping cigarettes onto the field. Executives then approach Homer and demand the remaining tomacco plant. Fearful of the animals, Homer gives them what they want. But as the helicopter zooms over the horizon, a sheep rears up from behind a seat.

Moments later, the helicopter crashes to the ground. When the Simpsons return home, Marge offers the colonel a slice of her homemade mincemeat pie. He accepts, then shoots Homer in the arm.
