An interview with Tempest:
What lessons have you learnt from season one?
From watching the footage, I now realise the character that I want to be. Tempest has found out who she really is!
What can we expect from Tempest in season two?
The real Tempest, a sportswoman who's not fazed by anything or anyone.
What was your favourite moment from season one and why?
Off-camera, it has to be the time that Atlas walked into the green room, sat down on a chair and broke it. The next day, he came in, sat down and broke the replacement! He's a big lad. In terms of the show, it has to be one my Wall conquests - I love racing up and ripping the Contender off straight away. Another one that sticks out is the Hang Tough where I took on KT Coates, the pole-dancing Contender. I latched onto her, but she just wouldn't give in. I was slipping and sliding everywhere. At one point, I was hanging by her shorts. Eventually I let go, but it was such a funny moment.
How do you feel about the Big Bad Wolf's return to his former hunting ground?
I met him on the Legends show and he was a lovely guy. It's good to pick his brains and get the inside knowledge about how it was in the old series, so we can learn from his experiences. Wolf is going to be a brilliant manager. I think Tempest will be able to tame him.
Are you glad to be donning your spandex suit once again?
Absolutely. As soon as I put it back on, I transform into Tempest.
Have you welcomed the new Gladiators into the fold?
They've settled in straight away, it's like they've been here the whole time. We've all got to fight for our positions, but there's no real rivalry, well not an unhealthy one anyway. No one's going to hate each other.
What challenges will you be facing in season two?
All the new games, which are looking fantastic, and maintaining the character of Tempest and making sure she shines through.
How has Gladiators changed your life?
It's opened a lot of doors, especially in relation to my sporting career. Aside from that, the show has enabled me to meet so many different and interesting people. People don't really recognise me, so I wouldn't class myself as a celebrity in any form. I just get on with my athletics.
