Orla Brady was born in Dublin and trained in performing arts at the Ecole Phillippe Gaulier in Paris. She began her career at the Gate Theatre in Dublin playing Adela in The House of Bernarda Alba. Since then she has gone on to work on both sides of the Atlantic with a career mix of film, TV and theatre to her credit.
In 1999, Orla won the Monte Carlo Film and Television Festival's Best Actress award for her role in A Love Divided. She has recently completed filming on The Deep for the BBC and will shortly begin shooting a third series of Mistresses.
