Anyone who thinks filming Stargate Universe is a glamorous life, think again! Elyse Levesque reveals the downside to filming the hit sci-fi show.
Elyse joked that she gets scurvy when she spends such a long period of time indoors, filming her character Chloe reports Digital Spy.
"Day in, day out being in here is a lot to take," she said. "I start to get scurvy, I think. I need to go outside and get replenished, get my vitamins!"
It's not always a shut-in life, and according to Elyse everyone gets a little excited when they have to go on location for an episode.
"It's fun actually," she said. "It's like a field trip for all of us when we get to go on location. We all plan it and we all come out with our shorts and our boots and we're all so excited to go out and have fun. Some people like Jamil [Walker Smith] end up getting lost because they go on nature hikes during lunch. No, but it's fun."
Brian J. Smith, also let slip that Scott will become increasingly uncomfortable with the leadership decisions made by Colonel Young (Justin Louis).
"The way my grandma would say, he's got a good heart,"
Smith said. "He's really got a really good heart. But you kind of saw at the end of season one, he starts arguing. Not arguing, but questioning Colonel Young."
Smith continues that Scott will feel an increasing need, and obligation, to raise issues with Colonel Young about his behaviour.
He said: "Not because he's trying to be contrary, but merely because you're seeing this man who's got everyone's lives in his hands and he's doing some things, engaging in what looks like torture, and making some pretty unilateral decisions that affect everybody's lives and put a lot of people in danger.
"And I think Scott, as much as he doesn't want to, feels he has to confront him for that."
This, coupled with news from the executive producers that the coming season will be much darker and dig deeper into the personalities of the crew onboard Destiny, it looks like Stargate fans really have something to look forward to.
