We are very proud, happy and more than a little chuffed that Broadcast has named Sky 1 the Channel of the Year.
Judges praised the channel for a "content revolution" which helped raise our viewing share by 13% year-on-year, and secured us the win against BBC2, BBC3, ITV1, ITV and Sky News for the top prize.
It's been a sensational year, with plenty of returning fan-favourites (Mad Dogs, Got to Dance) and breathtaking new dramas (Treasure Island) and comedies (Stella, Spy, Trollied, Mount Pleasant) helping us cement our place as the entertainment channel to beat.
