A woman newly arrived to the camp sits on her sofa guarding her belongings while people queue for food, in the camp for people forced to flee their homes, Nakuru, Kenya. Ethnic violence sparked in December 2007 following protests against disputed election results. Up to 600,000 people have been forced to flee their homes, schools and livelihoods. Many children have been separated from their families and are at ongoing risk of abuse and exploitation. Save the Children is working with others to establish systems for care and reunification of separated and unaccompanied children.
