The number of street children in Eldoret, Kenya has doubled since violence broke out across Kenya following disputed elections last year. Children were caught up in the violence and their families were forced to leave their home, their friends and their jobs to find safety.

Thousands of children were unable to go to school and many were forced to beg on the streets putting them at risk of exploitation and abuse. These children struggle to find enough food to eat, clean water to drink or a decent roof over their heads. Many are now separated from their families and have no way of making a living.

Save the Children, as part of it's emergency response programme in Kenya, is working with ExStreet - a local oranisation in Eldoret, to support street children by providing counselling, training and helping kids get back to school or earn a living. Your generous donation will help a street child and give them a secure and hopeful future.
