The most stylish show on TV struts back onto screens as supermodel Heidi Klum launches the sixth search for the next big designer name in American fashion. The most sensational season yet, the show has a new look and a new location as the series moves to the star-studded city of Los Angeles, providing A-List guest judges and red carpet glamour.

Project Runway sees 16 designers fight it out for the chance to launch their careers with a cash prize of $100,000 and a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine. Each week a battle of needlework commences as the colourful contestants put their skills and imagination to the test, leaving the judges to decide who’s ‘in’ and who’s ‘out’.

Klum heads the panel of industry luminaries consisting of top designer Michael Kors, Marie Claire’s fashion director Nina Garcia and Tim Gunn, chief creative officer at Liz Claiborne Inc, who will mentor the aspiring designers, offering advice and encouraging them to “make it work”.

Inspired by the new LA location, this year’s challenges include those with beach and red carpet themes, as the mix of hot-headed and catty contestants fight it out for a place in the final on the biggest stage of all, New York Fashion Week.
