Black coffee, a copious amount of biscuits and sugary goodness (yes ladies, that includes the sweetness that is GT), meant it was another bromantic week with my Initiative buddies…

Lost Initiative Give me Sawyer's brooding face over smokie any day.I know I go on (and on) about how much I love the smoke monster and the scary aspects of the show, but give me a scene like Sawyer mourning Juliet on the dock, and I’m as happy as Iain would be if Kiss moved in with him. We didn’t have time to talk about the Sawyer scenes in What Kate Does, but let’s just say that when Lost brings out its emotional double-barrelled shotgun, TLI promptly shuts up, stares at the screen, and gets a bit dewy eyed. This show has some astonishingly good actors on it, and Josh Holloway – we salute you, sir!

So what are you all thinking of the final season so far? What do you think of our new TLI home? We’re loving both – I still can’t believe Lost has managed to stir in even more mysteries & characters this late in the saga, and have them feel as organic and as compelling as they do. And will someone please get Iain and Tom a signed poster of the actor who plays Justin – their favourite newbie. Would you like to see other things on the set? Would you like to see what would happens if Tom and me got told off for playing with all the equipment? Or would you be happier if we didn’t cause a blackout across Greater London? Answers through a wormhole to the usual address…

The show record flew by this week, which meant there was time to grab some chow with the boys and shoot the breeze afterwards. Even though I’ve known these fine gents for five years – it’s fun to realise that over a burger and chips there’s always new things to learn about them:
For Tom fans: he’s GT virtually clocked Bioshock 2, and finds games like it bloody terrifying.
For Iain fans: can’t be bothered with the likes of Bioshock 2, and claims that video games are not, and cannot be, scary in any way.

Lost Initiative Who said gaming wasn't scary? The PT and GT side of the table stared and uttered words like ‘Dead Space’ (honestly, one of the most terrifying games/things ever), while Iain just mocked us. But then we all shared cheesy chips, made up, and geeked out about the greatest time travel films ever made (our current top tip: Timecrimes by Nacho Vigalondo – more recommendations in the coming weeks). Nice.
