An interview with Panther:
What lessons have you learnt from season one?
I wasn't exactly a pussycat in the first series, but I need to be a lot meaner. The claws are definitely going to be out. I think human nature is to hold back, but now I realised that you need to attack every single event, go in full pelt.
What can we expect from Panther in season two?
A bigger, better Panther. I've been training intensively since the first series wrapped, lifting iron and doing loads of cardio, building up my guns.
What was your favourite moment from season one and why?
It has to be the Forces special, because the Contenders were more evenly matched to the Gladiators. They were big, strong and mouthy, and it geed me up to perform and take them down. And that's exactly what happened on Gauntlet. I was the first obstacle, and the military girl just couldn't get past me. All the other Gladiators had to just wait and watch her struggle.
How do you feel about the Big Bad Wolf's return to his former hunting ground?
Excited is not the word. It's going to be so nice to have someone on the sidelines offering support and words of advice. I'm not scared of working with him, Panther is no pushover.
Are you glad to be donning your spandex suit once again?
I'm glad to be back on the spandex scene, as long as I stay in my suit this season. After that incident on Earthquake where I flashed a bit too much flesh, I want the spandex to stay put!
Have you welcomed the new Gladiators into the fold?
It's like they've always been there. There's no rivalry, because we're a team, a unit.
What challenges will you be facing in season two?
All the new events. I'm looking forward to Suspension Bridge, because it's a real clash of the titans, a smackdown where only the strong survive. Pursuit is another good one, because it shows off our agility, that the Gladiators are athletes, not just muscled brutes.
How has Gladiators changed your life?
I can't go shopping in Asda without being stopped and everything that people say is so positive, especially the kids. I have no plans to become a diva just yet though.
