An interview with Oblivion:
What lessons have you learnt from season one?
I've figured out what I need to improve, which games I have to perfect and tweak my technique on.
What can we expect from Oblivion in season two?
Oblivion is evolving. Expect me to be even more outrageous. Believe it or not, I'm going to be bigger, brasher and badder, with extra bravado. Oblivion's going to push the boundaries, that's for sure.
What was your favourite moment from season one and why?
It was the moment that I got my hands on the microphone. I'd competed in my first Powerball and it was my first interview with Ian. I knew I nailed it. The crowd were going crazy and I realised that I'd created something pretty special.
How do you feel about the Big Bad Wolf's return to his former hunting ground?
I'm going to make sure that he passes the torch onto me, otherwise I'll just take it. I am the Big O after all. I'm sure it's going to be entertaining and that's he going to add a lot to the show, but Wolf would be wise not to steal my spotlight.
Are you glad to be donning your spandex suit once again?
I've got a new costume that is so much better. It's complete with kick-pads and boots and way more fitting of my character. I'm a lot happier with it, because it resembles a wrestling outfit.
Have you welcomed the new Gladiators into the fold?
Absolutely. They all have different attributes to show. As far as I'm concerned, there's a place for everyone on Gladiators, we've all got things that are necessary, that are needed. At the end of the day, we're just buddies in battle.
What challenges will you be facing in season two?
I can't wait to tackle all the new games. Rocketball is simply awesome and I think it's going to be a big hit. The producers have raised the stakes. The design of the show is brilliant and so much slicker. They've modified the rules on Earthquake so that you can grapple, which is way more fun to play and watch. It has become a thinking man's game, tough and tactical.
How has Gladiators changed your life?
My time on the show has definitely opened doors, especially in terms of my wrestling career. I've signed a two-year contract with TMA Wrestling in the US and that was possible because of Gladiators. I've also had offers to do panto, which I'm excited about, because I have aspirations to act.
