My Pet ShameJoanna Page stole her way into the nation’s heart as ‘Stacey’ in the hit comedy ‘Gavin and Stacey’ - now she's about to conquer the animal kingdom!

Since graduating from RADA in 1998 Joanna has performed in a number of television projects. It was in 1999 that she first appeared on our small screens in Simon Curtis’ adaptation of ‘David Copperfield’.  Joanna’s more recent television work includes the BBC’s comedy drama ‘Love Soup’

Joanna has made a name for herself in the world of film, most memorably as shy ‘Judy’ in Richard Curtis’ critically acclaimed rom-com ‘Love Actually’.  Her other film credits include ‘This Year’s Love’ and ‘From Hell’.  Coupled with her television and film work, Joanna is no stranger to theatre having performed on stage in a number of prestigious projects including the highly acclaimed ‘Vagina Monologues’ at the Wales Millennium Centre and the Trafalgar Studio’s production of ‘Fat Pig’.

With ‘My Pet Shame’ Joanna has turned her attention to her love of animals which began at an early age.  At RADA she surreptitiously indulged her passion for pets, sneaking her hamster along with her and allowing it to nibble its way around the Halls of Residence.  These days Joanna’s pets are limited to her beloved Jack Russell Daisy, who it seems has a fondness for a stuffed purple gorilla which has become the focus of somewhat inappropriately amorous attentions at times.
Joanna is delighted to be bringing the nation’s attention to embarrassing pet problems which have for too long been swept under the carpet.  She loves meeting animals of all shapes and sizes, from cockatoos to alpacas, Siamese cats to tegu lizards, Joanna Page delights in the colourful menagerie coming through the doors of the clinic and learning their personalities and with that, their pet shames.  Following ‘My Pet Shame’ Joanna will be turning her attention back to her dramatic roots with ‘Marple: The Blue Geranium’ due to air on ITV later this year.
