Must Be The Music: Semi Finalists 2

Another week, another installment of nail-biting semi-final action. With an array of superb performances, a spectacular show from Sharleen Spiteri and two more acts through to play at Wembley, it was a blast. The Pictures, Kyle, Ebony Steel Band, Trinity Band and Emma's Imagination were the second five of our 15 semi-finalists to give it their all in order to get your vote – but with only two acts going through to the final, there was plenty of tension and tears along the way…

First to take to the stage were indie pop rock boys The Pictures, who performed their own track 'Tears'. The Pictures certainly looked ready to be exposed to stardom as they took to the stage with confidence! After Dizzee exlaimed that there performance had improved since their audition, the boys received three yeses from the three judges. After facing the judges, The Pictures then went down a storm in the public vote and will be heading to the bright lights of the iconic Wembley Arena.

Next up was pianist Kyle who, despite being a mere 15-years-old, composed and performed his own track, 'Red'. Proclaimed by Dizzee as a "real life genius" at his original audition, Kyle took to the stage and earned three 'Yeses'.

The next act to perform were the Ebony Steel Band who showcased their own rendition of 'Don’t Stop The Music' by Rhianna. The band got the audience tapping their feet to the infectious beat of their steel drums, but with three no's from the judges, they had to take the comments on the chin.

Loveable Derby boys Trinity Band followed and got the audience on their feet with their own song, 'This Must Be Love'. Dizzee gave Trinity Band the thumbs up, but Jamie gave it a No, followed by Sharleen labelling it as "cheesy". But the studio audience loved the band's performance and Trinity Band left the stage to cheers.

Last to perform was quirky songstress Emma’s Imagination with her self-penned track 'This Day'. Emma wowed the judges and earned three yeses from the judges with her melodic vocals and acoustic strumming, with Sharleen proclaiming "I honestly think you've written yourself a hit record." It doesn't get much better than that - Emma's Imagination made it through to the grand finale in Wembley and along with The Pictures, is storming up the iTunes chart.

We might have said goodbye to Ebony Steel Band, Trinity Band and Kyle - but you can still buy all of the tracks featured on the show from iTunes and Sky Songs. Remember that 100% of the net profits go to the artist so they will start making money from their music straight away.
