Bones: Meet The Cast

Emily Deschanel has established herself as one of Hollywood's hottest stars. In the last year she has been seen in the feature films Cold Mountain for Anthony Minghella, The Alamo for John Lee Hancock and Spider-Man 2 for Sam Raimi. In October 2004, Interview magazine named her one of 6 Actors to Watch in their annual Young Hollywood issue. She also stars opposite Josh Lucas and Derek Luke in the film Glory Road for producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Deschanel attended the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2004 Sundance Film Festival with the independent film Easy, directed by Jane Weinstock.

Deschanel's television credits include guest appearances on the series Crossing Jordan, Providence and Law & Order: SVU. Theater credits for Deschanel, a member of the Interact Theatre Company, include the roles of Emily in Our Town and Natasha in Three Sisters.

Deschanel was born in Los Angeles and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Boston University.
