Lost: Series 5 Episode 1 - Because You Left

We begin series 5 with the familiar face of Dr Marvin Candle. We appear to be on the island during the Dharma era. He draws the short straw and has to wake up to give his infant an early morning feed. Dr Candle then begins to film a new Dharma Orientation video. Just As he begins, someone runs in and announces that there is trouble down at the Orchid station.

The station is mid way through construction. A construction worker tells Dr Candle that one of the men tried to drill through the wall but the drill had melted and the man had collapsed clutching his head. Dr Candle tells the construction worker that behind the wall is an endless energy supply, and if harnessed correctly, could enable them to manipulate space and time. As he leaves we see one of the construction men look over, it’s none other than Daniel Faraday!
