Lady Gaga's Little Monsters should start to get excited. Sky1 HD has announced it will exclusively air her live show - which will also include tracks from her new album.
Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden is the five-time Grammy award-winners first solo event with HBO and was recorded on February 21 and 22 in her hometown of New York City. The special will spotlight the pop sensation on her sold-out Fame Monster world tour, an intricately stage-designed, elaborately costumed, and fantastically choreographed performance, accompanied by a ten-piece band and ten backup dancers.
Featuring the most exciting talent on the scene today, Lady Gaga Presents the Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden will bring the most talked about concert event of the year to viewers. Described by Gaga as “the first-ever ‘pop electro opera,’” the show serves up a visual and vocal spectacular – with ornate costumes, props and set design coming together for an evening of bold and memorable performances.
In addition to her well-known, chart-topping hits, Gaga will perform two songs from her forthcoming album, Born This Way, which is released on May 23, 2011.
LADY GAGA PRESENTS THE MONSTER BALL TOUR AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN will be directed by Lauriann Gibson, who choreographed many of Lady Gaga's videos, including Telephone and Bad Romance. The special will be produced by Lady Gaga, Troy Carter, Vincent Herbert and Jimmy Iovine. It will air on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1 in May 2011.
