An extra special ingredient was added to this year's Thanksgiving celebrations. Alongside the turkey and cranberry sauce, fluffy mashed potatoes and oh-so-sweet pumpkin pie is a great big dollop of Gaga.
The pop phenomenon doesn't do things by halves, producing, directing and starring in this 90-minute holiday special. Offering a feast for the eyes and ears, Lady Gaga shows off her vocal chops, putting her unique spin on a handful of festive classics, including White Christmas, before performing stripped-down acoustic versions of her smash-hits. Not to mention a duet of The Lady is a Tramp with legendary crooner Tony Bennett.
Of course, there are a few surprises in store (don't worry Ms Gaga doesn't don a garment garlanded with leftover trimmings). Nope, the superstar showcases her culinary skills and cooks up her favourite Thanksgiving treat - fried turkey and waffles - before taking part in some arts and crafts with her alma mater, Sacred Heart. A one-off that wows and warms in equal measure, Lady Gaga's twist on tradition is a most welcome one.
