abduct meAfter the briefing I gave Chris in the first episode, he's decided - correctly I think - that he needs to go and meet an abductee.  I suggest Ernie Sears and Chris arranges a visit.  Ernie is an elderly gentleman who's had repeated UFO sightings and alien abduction experiences, starting at the age of 14, with a dream about an angel in his bed.  She lay on top of him and kissed him and when he woke up, his pyjamas were wet, leading him to conclude - as anyone would - that he'd been abducted by aliens who'd taken semen from him as part of a genetic engineering programme to create a race of human/alien hybrids.

Ernie tells Chris that during one of his UFO encounters in 1978 he was taken on a trip through the solar system.  This sounds exactly the sort of thing that would fulfil the mission, so Chris enlists Ernie's help in a sort of laying on of hands that Ernie believes will call up his extraterrestrial chums and either get Chris abducted or make it more likely that he'll have an experience in the future.  Sadly, nothing happens.

Ernie does, however, tell Chris that the cosmos is full of a mysterious energy and says that scientists don't know what to call it.  Chris suggests "The Force".  All this talk of space - coupled with the imminent possibility of a delayed-action abduction, courtesy of Ernie's friends - prompts Chris to realise that he's been so wrapped up in trying to get himself abducted that he hasn't really prepared for the practicalities - and in particular, the physical effects of a trip in space.  So he sets off to meet Daniel Brandt from Leicester's Space Research Centre.

Daniel warns Chris that there may be a price to pay: a rush of blood to the head, a puffy face, dizziness, fainting, lowered bone density, etc.  The list goes on and Chris looks increasingly anxious, though not quite as anxious as the point in Episode 1 where I explained that some abductees recalled being examined with an anal probe.  I think Chris needs to meet some more abductees.  But Ernie said something might happen after their meeting and some people believe aliens can wipe memories of abductions.  So maybe Chris has already been abducted, but doesn't remember it.  As I advised at the outset, this raises the question of whether he might consider being hypnotised and taken back in time, to see if he's already been on his trip.  After all, if he has been, he might be in line for several billion Air miles.
