Rikoshay narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals last year as part of popping duo Blue Magic. This time he’s made it through to the final 30 after convincing the judges at callbacks he’s worthy of a shot at £250,000.
Currently a student, Rikoshay juggles his dancing with his uni work, and has a career in illustration as a “back-up plan”. Ultimately though, he hopes Got To Dance will enable him to pursue a full-time career in dance.
For the semi-finals, Rikoshay’s hoping to win over Kim as he believes she “still isn’t sure about me”. He’s wants viewers to see popping in a different way, and is planning to bring other styles into his routine.
Question and Answer:

What the Judges said at the audition:
ADAM: Gold
That was a mastery display of popping. Not only does your body move, it’s engaging. It’s riveting to watch.
KIMBERLY: Gold
It’s incredible what you can do with your body but what sells me is the music choices and the moves to go with them.
ASHLEY: Gold
Telling you that you weren’t through to the semi finals last year was the hardest thing to do. You showed why you should have been in the semis.
