A series of suspended rings hang above a large pool.  The Contender starts from one end and has 60 seconds to swing the length of the playing area to a platform placed at the opposite end. One Gladiator must swing towards the Contender in an attempt to pull them off the rings.  Kicking is not allowed.  Gladiators may attempt to pull a Contender off by grabbing hold of their bodies and shaking them, pulling their fingers off the rings, or weighing them down.

Scoring:

The contender gets 5 points if he or she is still hanging from the rings (one hand is okay) if they are in the scoring zone when the time is up; or 10 points if he or she is able to fully cross to the other side and stand on the Gladiators' podium.

Trivia:
*  In the old series, a contender loss in this event would infamously trigger a major crowd sing along to the event's 'theme song,' Queen’s "Another One Bites the Dust."
*  The decision to change the game so that it is played over a pool was made because of the disproportionate number of contender injuries that occurred in the old series, where it was played over padded – but hard – mats.
