The intergalactic animation satisfies appetites for the loopy and surreal with another all-new adventure. Expect emphasis on the absurd over Al Gore-style pontificating as Futurama enters the environment debate. In the first of a double bill, the Planet Express crew venture to Mars Vegas to visit its new casino, the latest purchase of Amy’s filthy rich parents. The Greenorita Eco Feminist Collective is up in arms about the gambling grotto and stages a protest. Amy’s father quickly diffuses the situation with the help of some explosives, causing leader Frieda to fly into Fry, knocking him out. The former pizza delivery boy realises it’s more than a bump on the head when he wakes with the ability to hear people’s thoughts. Meanwhile, Bender is enamoured by mobster’s moll Fanny.
A tee-off takes place in the second instalment when the Wongs announce their next project: the universe’s
largest miniature golf course. Leela discovers that plans to create a black 18th hole will destroy innocent life
forms and decides to take a stand, one that fan favourite Zap Brannigan is called in to stop. Finally, a homeless man named Hutch kidnaps Fry and takes him to the Great Hall of the Ancient Legion of Mad Fellows...
