An entire legion of frustrated emo-teensters grew up on the hyperbolic melodrama of Dawson's Creek.
Since the show's ended, the cast have gone onto… erm…. varying levels of success (becoming Tom Cruise's wife the collective highpoint so far), so it was nostalgically reassuring to see the most loved of them all, Joshua Jackson, grab a headline role on a show and revive his acting chops once more.
