An interview with Cyclone:
How much of a Gladiators fan are you?
It has always been a big part of my family. Both the past and present series have so many great, inspiring and entertaining characters.
What can we expect from Cyclone?
Cyclone is destructive, tough, passionate and poised.
Who is your favourite Gladiator and why?
Growing up, I always aspired to be like Jet and Lightning. Because of their gymnastics background, I felt a natural affinity to them. Cobra lit up the screen as well, he was such a cheeky chappie.
What is your favourite event and why?
I'm hoping Hang Tough will be my speciality. I did trapeze for five years, so the event comes naturally to me.
Have you been welcomed into the fold by the Gladiators?
Definitely, there's no doubt about it. I got to know the Gladiators in series one when I replaced an injured Enigma. We all get along well and enjoy the banter. We all clicked straight away and are just one big team, pulling together.
What do you bring to the show?
My gymnastic background and acrobatics. I'm the only one with those skills, so I should cover that niche.
What qualities do you think a Gladiator needs?
Strength, confidence, determination and power.
How do you feel about the Big Bad Wolf's return to his former hunting ground?
I'm looking forward to hearing his words of wisdom. I think he'll be inspirational, pushing us to success.
What words of warning do you have for the Contenders?
Don't underestimate the force of nature that is Cyclone.
What animal would you be?
A monkey. I'm really cheeky and swing around a lot. One of my nicknames is in fact Monkey Feet, from my trapeze days. I even have a monkey tattooed on my foot!
