Science's secret weapon against mediocrity!

AKA: Barry Bernhard
AKA: Uri Abuisikov
AKA: The Man In The Glasses
Born: Jan 24th 1959
Vital Statistics: A Man of many faces

Writer, musician, actor, painter, novelist, godfather of surreal comedy – is there anything that renaissance man Vic Reeves HASN'T tried, besides – oh, I don't know, blowing up the moon? Oh wait, scratch that – he's willing to give it a go. "Science is my God, and my ultimate goal in Brainiac is to destroy the moon with dynamite," Reeves says. Don't count the man out.

Only someone with a CV as colourful as Vic's (besides "star of stage and screen," the man can rightly claim time spent as a cabbage farmer, civil servant, pig farmer, and factory inspector!) could possible boast the necessary skills, determination, and pure nerve required to captain the good ship Brainiac into it's explosive new series.

A consummate showman, Vic's stage career has seen him literally change the face of comedy, first as the star of his own show: 'Vic Reeves Big Night Out', then alongside his comedy partner Bob Mortimer on 'The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer'. Together they went on to reinvent the notion of the celebrity panel show with the zany 'Shooting Stars,' and even turned their hands to acting with their supernatural detective show 'Randall and Hopkirk Deceased'.

Vic also moonlighted as a pop god, providing the vocals for a number of top ten hits during the 90s, both as a solo artist with his hit 'Born Free,' as well as with the able assistance of bands like The Wonderstuff and EMF.
