A genuine science fan with a degree in physics, Jon first entered the public eye as the brightest cast member on the fourth series of a Big Brother, where he impressed audiences with both his general knowledge (he knew where to find East Anglia on a map of Great Britain!) and his quirky inventions, like the 'Time Delay Toaster'. Quirky, intelligent and quick-witted, “The Tickle” has developed a devoted fan following over the years.

Jon has been a part of the Brainiac family since the show started, winning fans over with his remarkable ability to easily explain some of the bigger scientific mysteries in layman's terms.

When not risking life and limb walking on a pool filled with custard powder and water – and other memorable experiments – in the name of science, Jon can be found doing his day job, which apparently has something to do with computers and gas. We are not sure what his job is, as he hasn't told us, but the combination of computers and gas sounds interesting.

Besides being the official 'Brain in Brainiac'  the show sees Jon exploring the limitations of his own body, in 'Things Jon Tickle's Body Can Do'… and, of course, he will return to testing viewers' grey matter with the mind-bendingly cryptic 'Tickles Teasers'.

An avid Sci-Fi fan, Jon loves “Star Wars” and the works of JRR Tolkien. But Jon is no couch potato - he loves all sports particularly Football, Rugby and Cricket, and he makes a point to go to as many games as possible. He is also a very good Hockey player, winning a European tournament last year in Holland with his team 'Riders of the Night'!
