Bones: Season 6 on Sky1 HDBrennan and Booth are back for a game-changing sixth season of the top-rating forensic crime drama.

Blending drama, comedy and romance, Bones is a firm favourite with Sky 1 HD viewers. Season five saw the series celebrate its landmark 100th episode as the spark of the will-they-won’t-they relationship between FBI agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) and forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) almost ignited. Booth finally revealed his true feelings for Brennan, but she wished to remain friends.

In the season finale, the pair each faced a crossroads: Booth was asked to return to the army for 12 months and Brennan was offered the chance to lead a career-defining excavation project. Meanwhile, the recently married Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodges (TJ Thyne) decided to take time out, and headed to Paris. Season six will reunite Brennan and Booth, but “when they see each other again they will be different,” says executive producer Stephen Nathan. And the team may not have their full 12 months away as they’re summoned back to the Jeffersonian early to help Cam (Tamara Taylor) solve a controversial case which puts the career of one of the group in jeopardy.

Also this season, the Jeffersonian gang are set to finally close the case on their greatest enemy, as Deirdre Lovejoy (The Wire) makes another scene-stealing appearance as the sadistic killer Heather ‘Gravedigger’ Taffet. The Gravedigger – who previously tried to kill Brennan, Booth and Hodges by burying them alive – was convicted of her crimes in season five, but she still has one last card to play. Series creator Hart Hanson has revealed that the episode featuring Taffet will introduce “someone much worse”, who is set to plague the team all season: “This [new villain] is someone highly motivated to do great harm to our people – a personal vendetta,” says Hanson. “One of our characters will be a victim.”
