Strictly Come Dancing stars Anton du Beke and Erin Boag are on a mission. They want to take ballroom dancing to the heart of British schools and they’re starting with Eltham Green School in South London.
In just four weeks they plan to turn 12 typical teenagers into ballroom dancers, good enough to perform in front of 1000 people at the mecca of ballroom dancing – Blackpool Tower. But have they set their sights too high? Trying to sell ballroom dancing to a bunch of street dancing pupils takes all the persuasive skills they’ve got.
Ballroom dancing is going to be a big shock for the 6 boys and 6 girls chosen. Once they’ve come to terms with the shoes, the posture and their partners they will have to show their routines to family and friends at one of London’s oldest ballrooms, The Rivoli!
