Missing Mums: Annette FrancisMissing Mums: Annette FrancisMissing Mum Annette Francis-Chridi, 55, went missing from Kingston Upon Thames, on December 28th 2008. That morning, her Tunisian husband Fehri returned home to find a key under the mat and his wife not there. He tried phoning her several times without success, and eventually realised her phone and reading glasses were still at home. The alert was raised by daughter, Sacha, at 10pm that evening. Annette has not been seen since.

There had been a family fall out about Christmas. Sacha and Annette had an argument about the Christmas day arrangements. Annette felt the day was very unplanned, and this annoyed her as she is always a “creature of habits”. However, it was still out of character for this loving mother and doting grandmother to vanish.

To add to the mystery she left her toothbrush behind, despite having spent thousands on dental work. Friends and family thought she may have taken a break from family matters and gone to Spain, a favourite and regular destination for Annette and husband Fehri, but she didn’t take her passport…

Annette had enjoyed a holiday away in Spain in early December and returned for Christmas on December 17th in high spirits. However Sacha and Natalia reveal the past two years leading up to Annette’s disappearance had been a testing time. Annette had to deal with fighting for her husband’s Visa for him to stay in the country.

Annette is described as a warm and friendly character, who was a protective mum and always keen to be involved in her children’s lives. She was the backbone of the family.
