Straight from hospital into the Dance Dome. Nothing was stopping Michael Silk in his quest to dance, even a three day stay at hospital after an asthma attack.

Dancing usually helps with Silk's ashtma but an attack days before his Got To Dance audition left him gasping for air. The twenty year old was told that he may have died had he not gone stright to hospital, but he was not going to miss his chance and despite concerns, and still having trouble breathing, Silk went on to dance for the judges.

Forever

Before going on Silk said, "I want to dance forever," and he made a great start on his energetic streetdanceGTD-silk-MW routine. But halfway through, things started to go wrong for Silk. While doing some tricks his inhaler fell out of his pocket. Not long after he was having trouble breathing and had to use his inhaler - mid-dance!

Silk was struggling for breath by the end of the dance and could barely stand, but he stayed put and waited for the judges decision.

Positive

But in the end the strain was too much and the Got To Dance Dome stopped as Silk was treated by paramedics.

When he had caught his breath he waited for the judges decision - 2 Red Stars, he was not going through.

Staying positive Silk told the judges he accepted their decision but said that after three days in hospital he was still there and still doing some great tricks.

Bigger and better

Got To Dance: Ashley Banjo: Contestant to JudgeHis dedication impressed judge Ashley Banjo so much he said, "I've made up my mind; so I'm going to change it!"

With Ashley's Red Star turning Gold Silk is through to the judges shortlist. Although he was excited to get through, Silk said he still was not happy with his performance and that when he came back his moves would be bigger and better.
