MJ Latin are a group combining Michael Jackson's music with traditional Latin dancing. The eight boys and girls say they will be sticking with the MJ theme throughout Got To Dance.
Last chance
Two of the group are too old to stay in MJ Latin and Got To Dance is their last chance to win. They have already won the English Junior Championships amongst others.
MJ Latin are Moody Matthew (16), dance school Casanova Louis (16), group diva Reiss (14), and joker Stephen (13). The girls are; the pink princess Natasha (14), team totty Rachel (17), Rachel the quiet one (14) and 16 year old Alice aka Dizzy Dora.
MJ Latin rehearse 4 hours a week in a local village hall. They are big fish in their pond, but how will they hold up against other dance styles?
They won the English Junior Championships at Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Among other dance titles they have also danced alongside some of the Strictly Come Dancing stars.
Surprised
With Matthew and Rachel already dating, MJ Latin are hoping to spring straight to the nations hearts.
The judges were surprised by MJ Latin's combination of dance and music but were huge fans of the innovative routine.
Inspiration
If they won the £100,000 prize MJ Latin would spend it on a new dance studio. Although Natasha thinks that as well as their dance teacher getting some for being such an inspiration, all the dancers should get some too, "for perfoming so well!"
Returning to the semi final MJ Latin did stay with there Michael Jackson theme and wowed the crowd with a
medley of Jackson tunes. The judges liked the new dance but were not blown away, but in Got To Dance semi finals it's your opinion that counts - and MJ Latin were through to the live final! They will be back on Valentine's Day for their last chance, last dance to win your votes and the £100,000 prize.
