The group is almost all girls, but they dance like boys! Determined to beat the trickster boy crews at their own game, DNA dance with the aggression of the boys but with the sexiness of girls.

Girls

Of all the street dance groups who entered Got To Dance, DNA were head and shoulders above the rest. With only one boy in the band the girls use their sex appeal like the Pussycat Dolls.

DNA are Tanita (19), James (18) Ashleigh (19), Jordan (18), Kirsten (18), Natalie (17), Gabrielle (17) and Chanelle (16). This sexy group competes internationally and has recently returned from a competition in Las Vegas. They have won countless competitions in the UK.

Saved

James says that DNA really saved him when he fell in to a bad crowd. Dance and DNA really sorted him out. He says he, "wasn't one of the best people. I wasn't putting my talent to much use...I didn't feel like I was going anywhere and I was falling more and more in with the bad crowd."

The group was started by Dee Spencer when she moved home after her brother died in a car crash. Dee started a dance school and she is still their main choreographer.

Changing

The group line-up is always changing so that they always have the very best dancers. They all have to fiercely and constantly audition to keep their places in the DNA line-up. Their Got To Dance success has made all that hard work worthwhile.

DNA agree that they are all equals in the group and just get on with what is important to them - dancing.

If they win Got To Dance they want to give some of the £100,000 prize to the school and give something back to the local community who have supported them.

DNA come back for the semi final and DNA conflicted the judges options with their dance as Ashley told DNA summarythem “You bring so much to the stage..” but added “It could have been more cohesive.” But there dance was not good enoughfor you, and it was Matthew and MJ Latin who you voted through the live final.
